Madinah Arabic Course Supplementary Material

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

While in Egypt, a brother passed on a whole set of work/excercise books that supplement the popular Madinah Arabic Course.  They’re around thirty in number and comprise of four levels, which is probably inline with the old four-book curriculum, whereby book three of the series was actually two parts (I haven’t confirmed this).

There is a good variety of content.  Students can study Arabic in the context of fiqh, hadîth, tajwîd, sîrah, tafsîr etc.

The files are split up into hundreds of pdfs, which is useful if your working with your computer, yet a pain if you want to print them.  There are also .exe files, so I imagine that Windows users have a full-program/interface to make studying and browsing through the material easy.

Anyway, here they are!  I’ve zipped them according to level, but for some reason, the material for the end of Level 4 is missing.  The specific files missing are the entire folder, “History of the Rightly Guided Caliphs”Jazâk Allâhu khayrâ. The filenames are in French and Arabic. There are also some notes in French contained in some of the folders.

File:  Level 1

File:  Level 2

File:  Level 3

File:  Level 4

[Update: The whole two year curriculum can be downloaded as an executable Windows program from fatwa-online. I have now found a way of obtaining the missing files, walhamdulillâh. As soon as I can, I will add them to the last zip.]

    Dear Brother,

All your files are filled with Trojans! Didn’t you scan the Files before uploading them, AND SECONDLY THE FIRST AND THE SECOND FILE ARE THE same they have the same size and same url. Please upload the virus free and check if you have not uploaded Level 2 as Level 1 and level 2 are both same files.

    AsSalaamu alaykum.

I’m very sorry akhi Abd al-Muhsin, may Allaah reward you with good for informing me. The link for the second level has been revised, sorry for the silly mistake. As for the trojans, well I just scanned but nothing was picked up. I use a mac, hence whatever trojans are present, go undetected and don’t appear to harm my machine. I am scanning them again, and will bi’idhnillaah, use a windows machine to make sure that they’re clean.

Again akhi, my apologies, I hope they didn’t harm your machine or anyone elses.

    Was-salaamu `alaykum warahmatullaah

AsSalaamu alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barkaatuhu,

Brother, I would recommend you to use Avast antivirus , use it its free(there are 2 version , 1 free and second enterprise). There are a lot of Trojans , the name of Tojan is ‘runonce’ and in C:\WINDOWS\system32\runouce.exe .
Infact , all the .exe files in your uploads are corrupted by the virus , please scan then nicely.

Please scan it througly and upload. The virus affects all .exe files in your computer and then they have to be deleted. Dear brother , please upload the virus free files as soon as possible.Thank you.

    AsSalaamu alaykum.

Jazaak Allaahu khayr. Like I said, because I’m using a mac they don’t show up. I will scan the files as soon as I get the chance and notify you upon upload. For now, I recommend you check the link at the bottom of the post, as that file contains an .exe containing the whole syllabus.

    As-salaamu `alaykum

The files have been scanned with AVG and cleared inshaa’ Allaah. This has substantially cut down file sizes. If you’re still facing problems, let me know. Jazaak Allaahu khayr.
